Forward Faster: Human Centered Design for Nonprofits and Creative Entrepreneurs

Workshop Dates:

Virtual Follow-Up Sessions:

Attendance at all workshop dates required. Participants are strongly encouraged to register as part of a work team.

In today's rapidly changing environment, organizations are realizing the value of continually evolving to accomplish their mission. Groups who develop a deep empathy for their audience have the ability to connect and continually create meaningful experiences to meet the changing needs of their supporters, guests, board members, volunteers, and other constituents. Knowing the reality of your beneficiaries also gives you an advantage in both speed to assistance and impact of effort. This interactive and informative workshop focuses on critical tools used in Design Thinking to truly comprehend the REALITY of whom your serve while providing a framework to quickly identify, evaluate and evolve to build an impactful institution.

  • Identify, evaluate and test new opportunities with techniques which deliver results.
  • Create new, impactful, and provocative experiences.
  • Leverage existing resources to produce maximum effect.

Course Instructors:

David Phillips
Innovation Provocateur

David has deep experience and expertise in Design Thinking, innovation, and learning. He started his career with Arthur Anderson supporting global Audit practice in 1997 as they implemented a new controls-based approach. Before founding Faster Glass in 2011, David spent six years as an internal innovation consultant serving various Technology, Operations and Info. Security teams at Bank of America.

Dan Black
Innovation Architect

Dan has spent the last twenty years in learning development including 12 years on the speaking circuit delivering keynotes and workshops for both national and international audiences. He started his career at Price Waterhouse in the Office of Government Services in 1990. Before becoming a partner at Faster Glass, Dan spent 6 years with a learning consulting firm designing and developing curriculum for over 130 companies globally.
