The purpose of this series is to build capacity for learning about racial equity within the context of arts and culture. Bringing awareness to structural racism, our patterns, ways of being, and language, we will seek to bring awareness to and inquire how our biases affect how we listen and how we communicate with others. When we are self-aware and have tools to communicate through difficult conversations, we can teach and lead more effectively. The awareness of one's pattern and way of being along with a brave space for learning promotes positive paradigm and behavioral shifts. This series will only serve to scratch the surface of awareness and to provide participants with a framework to dialogue with increased confidence about race, racism and white supremacy. The facilitator of this workshop series is Jasmine Hines of The Inspower Agency; co-facilitator is Patrice Funderburg of Educate 2 Engage.

This workshop is a three-part series. Participants must commit to attending all three dates in order to register. Registration for this workshop closes Feb. 22.

We're sorry, the deadline for registering for this event has passed.
